The Oil & Gas Council has hosted this year’s World Oil & Gas Week Awards, honoring the upstream industry’s leading innovators and innovations. The event was held at the Supernova in London on the 5th of December. About 700 senior energy, finance and investment executives were on ground to celebrate the recipients of 11 awards including the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Awards, Lord John Browne.

The winners include, Statoil, for the award of National Oil Company of the year; Shlumberger, for Oil Field Services of the Year; ExxonMobil, for the Explorer of the Year; Hurricane, for the Innovation of the Year; Total/Maersk, for the Deal of the Year, and Patrick Pouyanne of Total, as the Executive of the Year winner.

The Oil & Gas Council is the most influential network of oil and gas executives in the world that connect executives, and in turn their companies, to each other and to their partners in the services, finance, government and investment worlds.
