Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc has debunked as untrue a media comment that it has short-changed the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The false allegation stated: “NPDC, Seplat short-changed FG by $1.8 billion, N8.8 billion – Presidential Panel”
In a statement, the leading indigenous Nigerian oil and gas exploration and production company wishes to inform the public that its attention has been drawn to recent publications alleging that Seplat “failed to remit complete dues” on royalty oil, royalty gas, concessional rental and gas flared penalty from 2013 through to 2017.
Thus, Seplat strongly refutes the allegation of non-payment of gas sales royalty, oil royalty, concession rental and gas flare penalty and confirms that it is up to date on all statutory payments to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The company maintains that it will vigorously defend its position.
